In Support of Community Health, Lobby Service is Temporarily Suspended

For the safety, health, and well-being of the communities we serve, our members and our staff, 1ST Gateway Credit Union will be taking the precautionary step to temporarily suspend face-to-face lobby services in all our offices effective Wednesday, March 18th .

We're still here for you

All drive-up locations will remain open for normal business days and hours. (View drive-up hours and locations here). The drive-ups will be able to offer most face-to-face banking services you receive in the lobby. At this time, our Morrison office doesn’t have a drive-up. In order to protect both our members and employees we will be limiting the number of members in our office to one at time in this location. If you are ill, we ask that you stay home. We’re working to protect the health and safety of our communities and our employees who are here to serve you.

In addition, you can access your accounts 24/7 with our online and mobile banking services, as well as our nationwide ATM service. Details on these convenient services can be found on our website or feel free to call the office nearest you.


Members needing to come to the office for services such as loan closings, opening new accounts, accessing safe deposit boxes can do so by appointment. Please contact the office you’d like to visit by phone or email eservices@1stgateway.org to be put in touch with the appropriate personnel. You may also apply for a loan online here.

Important Information

  • Branch lobbies will be temporarily closed starting March 18, 2020.
  • Members may still visit a branch for loan closing, opening new accounts, accessing safe deposit boxes by appointment. To make an appointment, please call the branch you would like to visit or email eservices@1stgateway.org.
  • Drive up windows will be open during regular business hours
  • ATM’s will remain available

Looking Out for Your Financial Well-Being.

To help during these extremely challenging times, here’s what you can expect from us:

  • We’re offering existing members an emergency cash loan of up to $2,500 with an interest rate as low as 2.00% that includes no payments for 75 days. Please contact any office to discuss your options. (credit underwriting standards apply)
  • We have options for consolidating some of your existing debt to make managing bills easier by having just a single payment.
  • If you have equity in your home, consider a “Cash-Out” refinance of your mortgage and take advantage of the record-low rate environment.
  • We’re prepared to offer loan assistance with you on any current 1 ST Gateway loan payments with loan deferments. (consumer loans up to 60 days and mortgage loans up to 30 days).
  • Penalty-free Early Withdrawal on Certificates.
  • We’re giving our staff the ability to waive NSF fees on the spot, if the situation warrants.

Protecting Yourself Against Fraud

1st Gateway warns members to be aware of fraudulent coronavirus financial scams that attempt to steal your sensitive and personal account information. Watch out for odd telephone caller ID’s, emails, texts or websites that look like real companies and ask for critical information such as a SSN, account numbers, login username and password information, credit and debit card numbers, PINs and so forth. Be smart. Be alert. 1ST Gateway will never request such information through emails, texts or outbound calls. Also, please remember that you shouldn’t click on any links or attachments from someone you don’t know. You can review the Federal Trade Commission's advice for consumers to protect yourself from scams.

Additional Steps We're Taking

1st Gateway staff is still available to assist you remotely by phone, email or text. We’re simply limiting the face-to-face interactions to ensure continuity of business for our members. 1st Gateway is financially strong and well prepared to serve our members during uncertain times. We continue to take several precautionary measures including:
